Pins and Needles

I just wrote an email to the dude who signed my paycheck at the consulting job (you remember--the one where they didn't hire me after a year).

I had to ask if he would give me a positive referral.

Yeuch.

Now I'm on pins and needles waiting for his answer. The job is a SOLID block on my resume, but if I can't offer any reference for that 12 month period, I may have to remove it. Damn.

Oh yeah--and I also dropped my magnetic pin cushion, so my sewing room floor is covered with sewing pins. So I'm on pins and needles literally as well. (Ok, I guess that's not really as funny as I thought, but it totally amused me!)
