Quickie

Varla Vixen came over for dinner on Thursday.

She's going to a PeeWee Herman themed party this weekend (today, maybe?) . She and another friend will be dressing as flowers.

We went to the fabric store together to get the flower makings, then we came home, ate Salmon, rice pilaf, artichokes, and a mmmmmarvelous peach/blackberry cobbler, and started making the flowers.

OH MY GOD. We are dorks. A seamstress and an engineer and we couldn't make the damn petals stand UP to save our lives. I swear to you, I haven't laughed so hard in a long, long, long time. My week-long funk mood was utterly vanquished.
