Sandals & Capris

I'm wearing cute blue-jean capris today with a pair of sandals (the shirt is unimportant to the story, but it's a fitted white cotton button-up blouse, if you must know).

I stepped out of the house and was greeted with a misty rain. I said, "Oh crap, It's raining!"

I decided not to change my pants and shoes 'cause, ya know, this is May in California. If it's misty in the morning, surely it'll warm up and be beautiful by lunchtime.

It's 3:00 in the afternoon now and there is a torrential downpour happening outside my office window. A freaking monsoon-type of storm.

Now I don't look like a footloose, carefree Californian, now I just look like the idiot who forgot to watch the weather forecast.

Drat.
