Blah, blah, blah, blah

My car is in the shop again. Looking at the service slip, depending on which line I read, it’s either the “ETC Sensor and Thermostat” or the “ECT Sensor and Thermostat”. Whatever. It’s really about $200.00, no matter what they call it. ((sigh))

I still haven’t been paid from the wedding. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks from when the dresses were delivered and I still haven’t been paid. I need to learn not to sew for friends and/or not to be such a weenie about money. Damn.

I think people claiming “firsties” on my site is a really funny thing—I mean really, folks, it’s not like one-a those places that gets HUNDREDS of comments! I’m still excited if I break into double digits. (hahaha)

Sometimes I have to remind myself that it’s ok to post nothingness; not everything is going to make someone laugh or cry, touch their hearts, or make them think. That’s the whole reason I started this blog and I must be mindful of why it’s here: It’s a tool for ME.

Last night as I was changing the sheets on my bed, Emily climbed under one, pulled it over my head too and said, “Mommy, let’s be flammel monsters!” (Flannel sheets—I love the way she hears things.) So we did. Then we took a bath, read books, ignored the telephone, television, and computer. What a nice evening.

Nevertheless, I woke up this morning with a headache. I thought coffee would help, but it hasn’t so far. Maybe I just need more.

On Sunday, my mom and I did a little Christmas shopping. Among other things, I bought cotton and flannel fabrics to remake Emily’s Snow White costume twice. The cotton will be available for daily wear (since she NEVER wants to take off the one from Halloween and it’s already starting to rip) and the flannel for a nightgown. I also bought patterns for Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Belle (from Beauty & the Beast), Ariel, and Jasmine. She’s getting costumes for Christmas. I love sewing for my Little Bird!

I’m ridiculously busy at work this week and next. I want to run away from this job. I really do. But I can’t. If I’m not around much the next couple of weeks, please know it’s only due to the heavy load right now.

I’m heartened with the knowledge that I’ll be seeing Kate and family in just over 6 weeks for Christmas, and then Celti and crew in less than 10 weeks for our KC trip.

Ok, gotta get to work now. Oh yeah, Kate emailed me some great pictures of Emily on the beach a couple weeks ago. I'll post them in the next day or two.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot: I don't like beer or porn.
